Inventory Bar-Code Package
The Bar-Code package will more than pay for itself in times agings and increased accuracy, while taking a physical inventory. With the Pocket PC in hand and utilizing the scanner that is plugged into the CF socket of the Pocket PC, the user simply scans the bar code on the tag produced by FloorManager, then enters the quantity found by using the touch-screen interface of the Pocket PC. When you are finished in the warehouse, place the Pocket PC in the sync cradle and FloorManager will compare the physical count stored in the Pocket PC with the On-Hand quantities stored in FloorManager, then produces the exceptions list! Review the exceptions, make the needed adjustments, and you are done! CYCLE COUNTS The Inventory Bar Code Package is so fast, easy, and accurate that it makes it easy to verify a segment of your materials on hand each month. So, for example, this month you can verify just carpet, the next month your wood/laminate, the next month pad, the next month ceramic, the next month setting materials, and so on. The monthly spot-shcceck of a category helps to identify small problems in your processs that need adjustment now, rather than just once or twice a year. And in this package, the training is included to assure that you get the most from this valuable investment. Approximately one half of every dollar your business generates is spent on material for the job, whether it comes from Stock Inventory or is Special Ordered. Either way, it flows through your warehouse and needs to be carefully controlled in order to protect your profit. The average flooring dealer loses about 5% of their materials every year to "Shrinkage." That means somehow 5% of the material moving through the warehouse gets mismanaged and "lost." Being able to take a physical count quickly, easily, accurately, and inexpensively allows you to know exactly what is happening with your materials and then adjust your process as needed to turn the average 5% shrinkage into 0% shrinkage! |
