Understanding the reasons for your 2023 maintenance changes

FileMaker Costs

Your JobRunner or FloorManager system is running on a database software called FileMaker. In order to get onto the latest version of JobRunner or FloorManager, your database must be up to date, as the latest features cannot run on the older database software. In the past, clients have paid upfront in full for new FileMaker licenses each time they upgraded their database licenses, incurring bills of several thousands of dollars. FileMaker licenses are now sold and renewed annually, so Pacific Solutions is offering to roll the licenses costs in your monthly maintenance. We can offer these licenses at wholesale prices as pass-through costs. With the wholesale rate and spreading out the costs into your monthly or annual maintenance, we hope to make the upgrade process more fiscally reasonable.

To offset the increased maintenance rate that includes FileMaker licenses, Pacific Solutions is comping these service fees:
  • Upgrade and Update Fee to install the new upgraded FileMaker licenses and update your JobRunner/FloorManager system to the latest version. ($500 USD value)
  • Upgrade Training to get your staff educated on how to best utilize the new features that will be added to your system with the update. ($600 USD value)​ ​
If you are adding FileMaker costs to your maintenance in 2023, please work with your IT to begin preparing your server and hardware to meet the system requirements for FileMaker version 19 and Pacific Solutions v22b9. ​System requirements can be found here:

Enterprise Costs - JobRunner Only

If you are a legacy JobRunner client, you likely will be adding Enterprise charges to your monthly maintenance. JobRunner systems purchased before 2015 did not have Enterprise Financials and Enterprise Job Costing modules included with system purchase. These Enterprise modules are now an essential part of JobRunner process and our JobRunner systems that do not have these Enterprise modules are lacking the reporting and financial capabilities that hard contract businesses need. 

Since these robust financial modules are available and considered key components of JobRunner efficiency, we are requiring all JobRunner systems to have these modules. Our support desk and trainers will be sunsetting assistance and support of the old system reports and will be redirecting you to utilize Enterprise for more accurate and detailed financial reporting [BONNI REVISES HERE].

Please note that in order to setup these Enterprise modules on your system, you may need to make adjustments to your server specifications. See the section below for more instructions.

Next Steps

In order to utilize your FileMaker license upgrade and/or setup Enterprise Financials and JobCosting modules on your system, you need to have your hardware evaluated by a Pacific Solution technician. Our technicians will work with you and your IT to prepare your server and workstations for these new system capabilities.

Once we receive this completed form, we will review your hardware specs and begin the process to upgrade your FileMaker database licenses and update your JobRunner or FloorManager system.
